Welcome
to my website! I’m glad
that you’ve found this site and hope that the
information here will be helpful to you.
My
journey toward becoming a psychologist has been
long and winding. Since about the age of 14, I’ve
known that I wanted to help people who were going
through emotionally difficult times. As I went through
school, my goal became more focused and I realized
that the best way to do this was to become a psychologist.
It’s almost as if this path chose me. If you’d
like to learn more about my training and experiences,
please visit the Bio Page.
My approach to psychotherapy is grounded in a deep
respect for the strength and resilience of the human
spirit. I also believe that healing is a collaborative
effort between client and therapist. I greet every
client with compassion, empathic understanding, and
an open mind.
Since
every person is a unique individual, I tailor each
therapy to meet the person’s needs. I
use an integrated approach that includes both psychodynamic
theories, as well as more concrete techniques to
address immediate symptoms, such as anxiety or depression.
I
also use play therapy techniques and sandtray therapy
to enhance my work with children. You can
read more about my approaches to therapy at the following
pages: Individual
Therapy; Children,
Adolescents, and Families; Trauma
and Abuse; and Domestic
Violence.
With
warm regards,
Christina Fasse, Psy.D.
